I-bracon destroying parasitic insects

Pests are destructive parasitic insects, highly destructive and prone to attack. Insects like beetles parasitize soft and stingless insects. The female bracken injects the poison into the insect pest with her ovipositor or ovipositor. Venomed insect larvae become paralyzed and the female bracon habitor subsequently lays eggs on the body of the paralyzed insect. After the egg hatches, bracken worms hatch and grow by eating different parts of the worm's body.

Rules for release of bracken habitat in crop field:

  • The Bracon habitor kept in a plastic bag should be opened and closed with the palm of the hand and start releasing from one side of the land.
  • Bracon palms should be lightly opened and released at the rate of 6-8 x per cent of land.
  • X thus one vaiyam or kota bracon habitat should be released on one hectare of land which should be continued till the last harvest.
